Ben Nevis

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Britain.  It attracts crowds due to this face with hordes of people climbing up the long and difficult stony ascent to the summit in the Summer.  The most common route being up the mountain path.

The terrain is a very steep path.  The upper section of the mountain is very rough as it is stony.  Often it is covered in snow which causes the sight of the path to disappear which can lead onto very dangerous terrain.

Distance is around 17 km/10.75 miles which should take the average walker around 7-9 hours to complete.
