Hart Fell

This hill is a familiar sight above Moffat if driving along the M74.  The summit is easily recognisable but the ascent makes a horse shoe walk around the glen of Blackhope Burn.

The terrain is very steep during the start of the ascent.  Mainly grassy ridges with a steep slope.

Distance is around 13 km/8.25 miles which should take the average walker around 5-6 hours to complete.
