Ben Rinnes
This is a very familiar sight to the locals of Morray and Aberdeenshire. This is a very common hill to climb from locals to tourists who travel for the sights that it offers. There are several different ways to climb the hill but the most common is via the east ridge. The sights to be seen are breathtaking and can see much of northeast Scotland from this hill.
The terrain is a well worn hill path which is a straight forward walk in summer conditions. Can be a bit muddy when raining. Not recommended in the winter due to the dangerous icy conditions unless you are experienced and know what you are doing.
Distance is around 7.5 km/4.75 miles which should take the average walker around 3-4 hours to complete.
